LinkedIn company banner size is 1128 x 191 pixels — a different, much wider shape than a personal profile banner. The page logo overlaps the lower left, mobile shows a shallower slice again, and the whole strip is short, so detailed artwork rarely survives. How the cover renders

Both frames are drawn to scale. The desktop strip shows the full 5.9:1 cover; the mobile card is cropped shallower and tighter, and the logo square sits over the lower left in both.

Designing for a shallow strip

At 191 pixels tall there is room for one short line of text at most. Company covers work best as a texture, a product detail or a simple colour field with the logo doing the identifying work.

Because the page logo sits over the lower left, keep that corner free. If you export at double size — 2256 x 382 — the strip stays sharp on high-density displays without changing the proportions.

  • Keep any type in the central 76% of the width.
  • Leave the lower-left corner clear for the page logo.
  • Use the outer edges for colour or texture only.
  • Export at 1128 x 191 or 2256 x 382, never scaled up.

Desktop versus mobile

On desktop the cover runs the full width of the page header and shows almost the whole image. In the LinkedIn app the page card is narrower, so the left and right edges are trimmed and the strip appears shallower still — a tagline that sits comfortably on desktop can lose its first and last words on a phone.

Check both before publishing: view your page on desktop, then open it in the app. If the logo is covering something, or a word has disappeared, move the content inward rather than shrinking it.

Company banner or profile banner?

The two are not interchangeable. A personal profile banner is 1584 x 396 at 4:1 — much deeper — so dropping it onto a company page crops most of the height away. If you want a matched look across your brand, design the artwork once and export it separately at each size.
