Frequently asked questions

How much of a post is visible before see more?
Usually around the first two to three lines, which is roughly 140 to 210 characters depending on the device and how you break lines.
Why is it an estimate rather than exact?
LinkedIn truncates by rendered height, which depends on screen width, font size, and the app version, so no tool can be exact for every reader.
Do line breaks change the cut-off?
Yes. An early line break can push much of your text below the fold, because a short line still uses a full line of height.
