LinkedIn Carousel Image Size

LinkedIn carousels are PDF document posts, so the size you care about is the page size of that PDF. Square at 1080 x 1080 and portrait at 1080 x 1350 both work well; portrait takes up more of the feed on mobile. This page covers the dimensions, page limits and safe margins.

LinkedIn carousel dimensions

Portrait pages1080 x 1350 pixels (4:5)

Safe marginsAbout 60 pixels on every side

Design for a thumb-sized viewport

Carousel pages are read at a fraction of their exported size on a phone. Large type, one idea per page and heavy contrast do far more for readability than dense layouts. Keep text inside a margin of roughly 60 pixels so nothing sits against the rounded edge of the viewer.

Export the PDF at the exact page size rather than resizing afterwards, and keep the file well under the limit so it uploads reliably.

Frequently asked questions

What size should a LinkedIn carousel be?
1080 x 1080 for square or 1080 x 1350 for portrait, exported as a PDF and posted as a document.
How many slides should a carousel have?
LinkedIn allows up to 300 pages, but most effective carousels are between 6 and 12.
Can I upload images instead of a PDF?
Separate images become a multi-image post rather than a swipeable carousel. Use a PDF for the carousel experience.
